- The Game
RULES OF THE GAME:
post 5 weird/random things about yourself. at the end, list the names of 5 people whom you want next to do this, and leave a message "YOU ARE TAGGED!" in their blog and tell them to read your blog for rules.alright, *drumroll*:
1. i have this belief that life isn't so cruel as to throw you into a situation that you can't handle.
2. i was never ever interested in the fancy things in life. sometimes i wonder whether it's because i'm too unambitious, or is it because i have my feet firmly on the ground.
3. i still remember this time when i was 9 years old. my mum, my brother and i went to watch "home alone 2" at the old cathay cinema. after the movie, my brother and i threw the tickets away and went to the toilet. when we came out from the toilet, we realised that we could trade the movie tickets for the movie posters, and my mum seeing how much we wanted the posters, went to dig the trash bin to get the tickets back in front of everyone exiting the theater.
i will always remember that scene for the rest of my life.
4. i always felt that bell made me the person that i am today. i believe that unintentionally, she made me realise that somethings are just out of our control and that we won't get something just because we simply really want it.
5. i feel that karin is the first person outside of my family who really loves me.
*bonus random fact*
6. i will be very happy if i can just have half the determination that my dad has in life. the hard work that he puts in in his job shows just how much he cares for our family.
my 5 lucky friends to do this:
erm...i rather not tag anyone.

- Durian & Rice
i was talking to patrick and kelly that day. 2 malaysians, and i found out some stuff about malaysians and singapore food.
- they find it weird that we will put chilli sauce or ketchup in our dry noodles.
- they wonder why our "char kway teow" have noodles in it. because to them, "char kway teow" is suppose to be "kway teow". if they want noodles, they would have ordered fried noodles.
- they find our "char kway teow" too sweet. to them, it's nicer if it's just a little on the bitter side.
- to them, rojak is only suppose to have fruits in it.
- they feel that our "bak ku teh" is not herbal enough.
another interesting fact that i learnt from them:
it takes 52 days for a chick to become full grown. so about 2 months before chinese new year, they will buy a few chicks to rear. and by the time CNY comes along, the whole family can have chicken for their reunion dinner and within the 14 days of CNY. sweet~
