- The Pen Knife & The Blunt Needle
i'm currently a handicap right now...because yesterday, i almost took off abit of the tip of my right thumb while using a pen knife in the office. went to medical centre, and i got 2 stitches.
medical officer (MO) looks at the cut
MO: im going to give you a stitch.
me: eh stitch pain anot?
MO: (looks irritated) of course it will be pain.
me: erm..okie...
MO went to get his sewing kit which comes all wrapped up in a light blue cloth.
threads the needle in. starts to stitch up the thumb, but the needle can't go in.
me: (giddiness...) eh..i'm feeling kinda dizzy...
medic: eh relax...
me: can i lie on one of your beds later?
MO: wah...this needle ah... (pulls out the needle, took a look at it, then try to poke it into my thumb again.)
after 1 stitch...
MO: eh..it's still bleeding, i need to give you one more stitch.
me: har?! can don't stitch anot?
medic: erm...since you're here, why not just get it done right.
me: ok lah ok lah...stitch lor...
MO poke the needle into my thumb again. this time i don't feel dizzy, but it kinda hurts a little.
me: ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow....
it's done, and the MO left. medic put on a dressing for me, and i think the stitch work on my thumb kinda sucks...poor workmanship.
medic: not bad you never scream or anything. some people will scream very loud, then some will scream very loud then faint.
me: erm...okie
medic: then when they fainted, we will just force the needle in. cause the guy cannot feel anything already.
me: erm..okie
medic passes me a form to sign.
me: what form is this?
medic: it's an agreement form to show that you allow us to treat you.
me: wah~! you stitch me up already then ask me to sign agreement form~!
medic: erm...
so there you have it...my afternoon in the medical centre. must keep the dressing dry so when i shower i have to wrap a small plastic bag on my thumb.
but now i got a small problem when i shower. my left hand can't reach my left armpit so...anyhow wash first bah...
weekend when i go karin house then i ask her help me wash. hahahahaha~!!!!
erm...okie okie...not funny...
